Are Blackboard Emails Being BCC’ed

Problem: The user is wondering if their emails they are sending from BlackBoard are being BCC’ed

Solution: Email sent from within Blackboard is sent to the person sending the email (so they have a copy) and to the individuals in the To: field. This is done in order to prevent the students from seeing each other’s email addresses. The recipients of the message are listed in Blackboard itself when you send the email. You can select recipients by going into “Course Tools” then clicking on “Send Email”.  From there you can select to either send an email to “All Users”, “All Groups”, “All Teaching Assistant Users”, “All Student Users”, “All Instructor Users”, “All Observer Users”, “Single/Select Users”, “Single/Select Groups”, and “Single/Select Observer Users”. Any of the options that have “Single” before it means that you choose from a list of users, groups, or observers who you would like to send the email to.
